Malakoff. Marche de Noel. Holiday Stroll.
Margot Hill Wedding and Events Center plays host to Malakoff’s first ever Marche de Noel event this Saturday December 12 from 10:00 to 3:00. Margot Hill co-owner, Abby Misegades explains “ As a couple with young kids, my husband Logan and I, with recent roots living in France, wanted to have a holiday market with plenty of fun for the entire family and a French theme! We also wanted to engage the local community and provide space for artisans to showcase and sell some of their items as holiday gifts as well as give back to a local not-for-profit organization.
Abby listed some fun highlights for the kids:
- Pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus by a local, professional photographer $10
- Free Christmas crafts
- Cookie decorating class with Treehouse Cupcakes
- Storytime with Ms. Debbie & Mrs. Claus
- Locally run Holiday DJ Two Danes Productions
Abby added, “We will have raffle tickets for sale for $1. All proceeds will go towards Azleway Children’s House. Raffle baskets are sponsored by:
Atticus & Co, Lakeside Mercantile, HF Family Table & Mr. Sweet Tooth, Vault, Bookish, W Haus, and Merle Norman.”
The food opportunities are not your typical, run-of-the-mill hot dogs and hamburgers. Abby adds that Castle Oaks Winery will be providing holiday gift baskets and wine tastings! Chef Justin Box will be bringing his Elotes Cart! And, Smoky B’s Barbeque is coming soon to Athens, and will be introducing their signature sandwiches at the event. Also, Treehouse Cupcakes will have their signature sweet treats and famous hot chocolate bombs!
Marche de Noel will also have a wide range of quality vendors. Abby says, “We have people locally as well as some up and coming designers and artisans from Tyler, Dallas and Austin. We will have plenty of holiday items to take care of everyone on your list including jewelry, wreaths, honey, candles, handcrafted wood items, personalized cups, and more!” Here’s more info about Margot Hill.
